About my photos:
I’ve been carrying a camera since I can remember. I capture my friends and family, architecture, cars, and Things I see when I travel.

Documenting through photography allows me to relive the feelings of wonder, awe, and happiness I experienced during those moments.

I’m drawn to stillness, subtlety, and the quiet poetry of places. My work explores the textures of everyday environments through a slow, observational documentary style. I’m interested in finding the in-between spaces where memory, geography, and atmosphere converge.

Day job:
I’m a designer specializing in human computer interaction and software design for consumer products.

I’m exhilarated by the design and craft of things, figuring out how something should work, how it should look, how it should feel.  I’m fortunate to have worked at some really amazing companies that wanted to find answers to questions intriguing to me. Some favorites:

At Apple, I worked at the intersection of design and photography, innovating on features to expand the capabilities iPhoto, Aperture, Photos for Mac and iOS, and iPhone camera.

At Oculus, I explored virtual reality, creating interfaces for a fully immersive environment. It literally added dimensions to the way I thought of interaction.

At National Public Radio, I designed the news agency’s first apps for iPhone and iPad, taking NPR beyond just sound on the radio to a look and feel on new platforms.

At Google, I help apps and services show up in the best way they can on Apple platforms.

I’m based in Honolulu, and occasionally very active on Instagram. My CV and list of patents are on LinkedIn. Let's connect!
